HOW DID THE PROJECT START?
The Access Project, established in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, is dedicated to providing English education to financially constrained 9th-grade students in state schools. Since its inception in 2009, the project has evolved through 13 phases, with the latest phase launched in 2024. The primary objective is to equip students with not only English proficiency but also essential social, cultural, and digital skills.
The Access Project offers a two-year intensive language education program, blending both face-to-face and online instruction. Expert English teachers from TED Schools lead the educational sessions, ensuring students gain proficiency in various domains such as community service, personal development, leadership, environmental awareness, technology literacy, and 21st-century skills. Transportation and all educational materials, including books, are provided to students throughout the program.
