Roche Turkey and the Turkish Education Association share a common vision of nurturing a healthy society, believing that their collective efforts can spark significant societal change. With a focus on youth health, they strive to raise awareness about the importance of well-being, envisioning a brighter future for generations to come.
The "Healthy Future Through Education" Project was conceived with the mission to elevate health awareness among young people and their families, particularly those facing social and economic challenges. By fostering positive attitudes and behaviors within families and social circles, the project aims to create a ripple effect that extends to society at large.
The third phase of the project, completed in 2023, reached a total of 1,420 students and 569 parents across seven cities over three years. In the first phase of the project, students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 in state schools in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Diyarbakır, Kayseri, and Malatya benefited from the Turkish Education Association's Full Support Scholarship program. In the second and third phases, education targeting students continuing their studies at the 7th-grade level in four state schools in Ankara and Adana, as well as their families, was conducted both online and face-to-face. A total of 33 academics, experts in 26 different fields, collaborated on delivering education in various areas.
"With the training, I realized that I had neglected many things in terms of health. Additionally, the summer camp was quite useful as it gave our children the opportunity to discover their own talents and experience different areas related to sports. They returned home very happy.
