With the support of the Zurich Foundation, the "Insurance of Education: Our Teachers" Project was conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Education Association. The project aimed to enhance the quality of teachers' professional lives and instill hope in their students. It was implemented following a cooperation protocol signed in November 2018.
“I cried a lot when I received the assignment letter. I came here with prejudices, but I realized it was nothing like I expected. Only those who see with their hearts can understand. Education is the only path to honor our country.”
These words belong to a female teacher working in a village in Gaziantep. Thousands of teachers in remote villages, facing extraordinary challenges compared to their urban counterparts, strive to educate the future generations.
TEACHER’S ROAD MAP
Teachers apply for the project through announcements made by the Ministry of National Education. The journey of selected teachers begins when their information is conveyed to the TED project team by the Ministry of Education. The project processes are categorized into three main headings:
1. Adaptation Module
2. Personal and Professional Training Module
3. Social Impact Generators Program
